Assume you know any programming language. The next level is to know OOPs. Suppose you know all the concepts of OOPs namely class and objects, inheritance, and polymorphism. Also the time you have to make use of some design pattern to hide the complexity of this predefined code. Design Patterns are typical solutions to commonly occurring problems in software design.

They are blueprints that you can customize to solve a particular problem in any software project design. 23 design patterns are divided into three categories namely Creational, Structural and Behavioural. Examples of Creational Design Patterns are the Factory Method, Abstract Factory, Builder, Singleton, Object Pool, and Prototype. Structural Design Patterns are Adapter, Bridge, Composite, Decorator, Facade, Flyweight, Private Class Data, and Proxy. Behavioral Design Patterns are Chain of responsibility, Command, Interpreter, Iterator, Mediator, Memento, Null Object, Observer, State, Strategy, Template method, and Visitor. This course provides you the information on some of the useful design patterns namely singleton, factory, prototype, adapter, and facade. Some more factory patterns will be added later on depending on your feedback
