Description
Learn about APIs and REST APIs in this course, and how they work. Make an API and learn how to make your own APIs. You’ll also learn about the six REST design constraints that help you build an API that works well. In computer science, API endpoints are the connections between your application and the rest of the world of programmers. They are called API endpoints.
When you take this course, you will learn how to write secure, developer-friendly APIs that will help your back-end app grow and keep your users happy.
We’ll start with a general overview, giving you advice on how to figure out who your users or “participants” are and what they might do with your system. Next, we’ll look at testing your design before you build it and learning about HTTP and REST concepts. We’ll also look at how to build your API.
The last thing we’ll do in this course is talk about some of the most common API design patterns you’ll have to deal with.
By the end of this course, you will have all the information and skills you need to make APIs that are useful for your project.
This class is for people who work with data in software projects. It is also useful for data professionals who need to know how to exchange data and work with business apps.
