Description
This class is going to teach you a new thing about programming and python. It shows you how to write python code so that you can draw a cloud or on-premise architecture. This is how it works: You write the code for the python script, and it will make an image of cloud architecture that looks like what you wrote in the script.
The output can be in many different formats, and the drawing module of python is very flexible. This means that you can make flexible structures that you can change at any time. There are a lot of things that you will learn about how this module works. We will go over everything from setting up your environment and installing it to using the basic building blocks. This will help you draw the best architectural images that you can.
The course has a Github repository that helps you follow along with the videos, and there are a lot of useful tips and comments in the videos to help you learn. People who want to take this class need only a little bit of experience to do so. In order to write code, only some basic Python is needed. A fedora 32 virtual machine is running in VMWare Workstation 15 and the examples are done on that machine. You can follow along on your Windows computer or another Linux virtual machine that has python on it. Make sure you have at least Python 3.7 and the Graphviz tool installed.
